A New Face
There are so many women I admire in this photo. That’s my little sister to the right, my cousin Regina and my Nana (grandma) Lupe. My Nana has always been one I can call if I needed prayer. I grew up spending so many nights over their house waking up hearing my Nana “praying to Jesus” at 5am. And boy do I remember when I was a teenager and getting those phone calls, “Michelle, don’t be thinking Jesus doesn’t talk to me about you in my prayer closet!” I’m sure she prayed me out of some horrible situations.
My sister and I are best of friends. She knows me through the good times and bad. We have drawn so much closer since we have had our kids and I thank God for that. Although she lives in Colorado and I live in Tennessee, we manage to talk to each other almost every other day. I love her so much and thank God that He saw fit for us to be sisters.
Next is my cousin Regina. She knows the Lord and I pray that we she will know Him again like she has never known Him before. Yeah, I said it Regina…remember we share the same Grandma! (Love you)
Then there is me. To see myself in this photo and see where I am today brings tears to my eyes. This is why I have chosen to write this blog and bring it with a new face. The Bible says, Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2) With a new look (pattern) and no longer the old one and a mind that has been renewed so long ago, I find myself in such an incredible place. A place where I can say I am doing God’s will for my life and by writing this blog I hope to share this adventure with you.
What new adventure would you like to start?
