A Thanksgiving Tradition

Last week I talked about how I was inspired by our Missions Pastors wife to bring my girls into the kitchen.  You can read more about it here.  So that is what I am going to do this Thanksgiving! I am so excited to begin a new tradition in our family and with my girls.  The plan for Thanksgiving will go something like this:

  1. The girls will be helping Mom in the kitchen.
  2. The boys will be putting up the Christmas decorations and lights on the house.
  3. Thanksgiving Dinner will be served at 4pm.

Did I say I was excited!!  Actually giddy!  And to begin this new tradition, I am going to surprise the girls with these:

Their very own aprons!  I have tears in my eyes just thinking about seeing their faces when they put them on. This is what being a Mom is all about.  Moments like these that will last a lifetime!

I am so THANKFUL at all God has done for me, Jose and my kids.  I am so THANKFUL that Lisa shared her stories of the kitchen she grew up in and carrying that over to her children and how it inspired me to do the same with mine.  I am so THANKFUL to you, my readers, for the encouragement and kindness you share through your comments. I am so THANKFUL for so much that HE has done.  I pray that you have a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and may the traditions in your family, old or new, inspire others.

See you on Monday!
