The Anticipation of....Snow.
Since this weekend, all the buzz has been about the snow that is coming. They are predicting 3-6" for our area north of Nashville. We moved there 7 years ago from Denver and saw plenty of snow. We still laugh at the milk and bread aisles and how bare they become before the first prediction of snow. As I sit here in anticipation for the snow's arrival, I wonder what the week will hold. More snow days that the kids will be out of school? More rescheduled meetings and lunches? More Facebook and Twitter instead of face-to-face time? I love the snow because it reminds me of two things: 1) To stop and warm up in His presence and 2) He makes me white as snow (Psalm 51:7). I love that song!
Nothing But the Blood
What can wash away my sin Nothing but the blood of Jesus What can make me whole again Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow That makes me white as snow There's no other fount I know Nothing but the blood of Jesus
This is all my hope and peace Nothing but the blood of Jesus This is all my righteousness Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh precious is the flow That makes me white as snow There's no other fount I know Nothing but the blood of Jesus Nothing but the blood of Jesus Nothing but the blood of Jesus
I encourage you today to look out your window and as you see the snow sing this song to Him. Let it be a reminder of all He did for you and me. That in the busyness of the week, we are reminded of His precious blood that washes away all our sins and He has made us whole again....nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Enjoy the snow!
