An Overwhelming Cry of Relief
I want to share with you something that happened to me today. I received an email from our old Pastor at Christ Church in Nashville, Dan Scott. In the email was a song that the Pastor Emeritus Pastor Hardwick (love him!) has sung. Pastor Dan talked about how he heard the song and began to weep because of the spiritual connection in this song.
Transformed by a Song
When I opened the email and heard the song by myself first and then called Jose to come in and hear it. Weeping by the words "when the storms of life are raging" ourselves. Prior to receiving this email, this morning we were talking about closing the business and giving up the house. We are sitting on our last $300, no rainy day fund, nothing is left. But as Jose went back to the office in the detached garage at home from listening to that song, within 5 minutes he comes back in the house to tell me we got a contract for $75,000 and they want us to start right away!!!
THANK YOU JESUS!
as We cried and cried with such a feeling of weight, a burden, being lifted. God has truly blessed us. The last few days I've been writing on a few scriptures that God has put in my heart.:
"If you will call those things which be not as though they were, you will have those things that you call for" (Romans 4:17)
"God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think." (Ephesians 3:20)
I wasn't asking for riches or fame; luxuries that I didn't need. I was simply asking God to pay our bills. Keep the roof over our head, food on the table. Sometimes I have to laugh at God and say why so long and it's like He tells me "so that I can get all the glory!"
If you are going through a similiar situation, know that God is able. We are not. Sometimes we just have to throw up our hands and say, "Lord, I can't do this anymore, I need your help." The key is to mean it.
Oh, here's that song...enjoy! Stand by Me
