The Value of Motherhood

This past Friday I had the incredible opportunity to speak at a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group.   The topic was “The five G.I.F.T.S. you want to pass on to your children” taken from the Ministry of Motherhood from Sally Clarkson.  As I began to spell out the five GIFTS and there meanings to each mom, God began to show me that the message is not just about the purpose of mothering anymore, but the value of it. Definition: Value – relative worth, merit, or importance

He wants you, as a mother, to see the value in what you do every day.  Whether it’s wiping runny noses or folding laundry,  there is value in it.  If it’s running the kids to school or wondering what mood your teenager is going to be in when he or she gets home from school, there is value in it. God wants you to see the value He puts in your mothering.

God values you as a mother.  He wants you to see your importance of who you are and the specificity of why he entrusted you to be their mother.

This week we are going to talk about what I think are 3 things God values most in your mothering – Inspiration, Knowledge and Wisdom.

So my question to you to start this week off…How do you inspire the value of God in your child(ren)?
