Dream the Impossible Dream
I shared with you yesterday that I had the wonderful privilege of speaking to the MOPS Coordinators from all over this country in Nashville. I challenged them to Dream the Impossible Dream. To dream the biggest dream you ever dreamed for your MOPS group. To dream the biggest dream you ever had for yourself and then...move forward and let God lead the way. As leaders we have to be "vision casters". Coordinators also have to be idealist. An idealist is one that envisions life as it can be rather than as it is. Idealists make the world a better place, not because all their dreams are fulfilled but because with each dream one step of progress is taken, one more need is fulfilled, one more glimpse of hope is given. (It's funny how we can adapt this to anything we do in life! :-))
Scripture I used:
Luke 6:38 - "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Hebrews 12:2 - "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the [b]author and perfecter of faith..."
Then to wrap up my talk I ended with this:
- To be the Coordinator God has called you to be.
- You never know who is going to walk through those doors. You don’t know her situation or circumstance. You don’t know her hurts or struggles. You don’t know her emptiness or if she’s lonely. All you know is that she walked through your doors and became part of your audience. What will you do?
I have added the Powerpoint presentation that was given...Enjoy!
